A Database Administrator's role is to ensure that the company’s database is running smoothly and securely.
As a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) you would have mastered all aspects of working with of Microsoft SQL Server databases. You will need to pass three core exams and one elective exam.
As a database administrator, you will be the guardian of all the company’s sensitive information. Your job will be to create and maintain the company’s databases and come up with automated ways to sort through the data according to the company’s needs.
Security will also be a big part of your role. It will be vital for you to ensure that the database cannot be accessed by hackers and unauthorised users. For these reasons, Database Administrators are highly-valued members of any corporate organisation.
